Agents from the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 537 Melrose Ave., in Ambridge.
State officials said agents conducted the search, in conjunction with Ambridge and Avalon police, after learning that people from Beaver and Allegheny counties were coming to the house and purchasing heroin for personal use.
Authorities said Ambridge and other towns located along the Route 65 corridor are getting hit hard from Pittsburgh. Forty-four people were charged just last week accused of participating in a Pittsburgh-area heroin ring.
“They’re having obviously the problems with heroin down here, and kind of everywhere nowadays.”
The resident, who authorities said is on probation, will be charged in connection with the items found Monday along with felony delivery charges.
