Martocci has spent the last 22 years litigating criminal cases, according to his campaign website, which also states he is “the only prosecutor in the race.
Ambridge Police Chief James Mann said the two have worked on four or five trials together, most recently the Marlin Kelly homicide case. Kelly was found guilty and is now serving a life sentence for murdering Conekia “Coco” Finney and her unborn baby at her Merchant Street apartment.
“I can affirm, he’s as fierce in the courtroom as he is kind in friendship,” Mann said.
Martocci said Mann likewise has been “a tremendous asset” in investigating cases and bringing them to a just conclusion.
“As an assistant district attorney right now, I have prosecuted some rather serious cases that have occurred here in the county and, in particular, here in Ambridge, and I’ve handled them personally with Chief Mann and his officers.”
Martocci has lived in Ambridge’s Old Economy district for eight years, and said he’ll have many more years in the borough if elected.
“I have every intention, if I’m elected, to try to do my best to keep this community safe,” he added.
