Every Monday for the past three years, Linda Thomas has started the set up process for a soup kitchen that serves the Ambridge area. Finding a Christmas season job wasn't easy during my college years at the end of the 1960s, not because jobs were scarce, but because I wasn't able to come home to Ambridge until shortly before Christmas Day. Most businesses that hired for the season tended to want employees who could work from before Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve.

Administration Clerk - Ambridge Water Authority, Ambridge The Ambridge Water Authority seeks an Administration Clerk to work under the direction of the general manager in a full-time 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday office environment. Qualified candidates must have earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration. Harmony Township is among 38 municipalities that will receive grant funds to underwrite the costs of upgrading traffic signals under Pennsylvania's new “Green Light-Go” program. Harmony Township was awarded $4,500 to upgrade three traffic signals in the township to LEDs along Duss Avenue at the intersections of Dearborn Street, Keystone Road and 24th Street, also known as Route 989. Ambridge Connection held its first community-wide Holiday House Decoration contest. Residential homes were able to enter the contest as long as the home fell under the Ambridge Area School District coverage area.
