senior baseball players.  Zach Dugan #7 (1st base), Peyton Carlson #3 (2nd base, 3rd base and pitcher), Matthew Toplak #6 (right field) and Matt Corraini #24 (catcher) have all played for the Ambridge Bridger baseball team for each of their four high school years.  All four of these boys are honor roll students participating in TSA and a variety of other organizations and clubs affiliated with the school.
Zachary Dugan plans on attending either Millersville or California University of PA for technology education and baseball.  Peyton Carlson plans to attend Saint Francis University, where he was awarded the Founders Scholarship, majoring in accelerated Master of Physician Assistant studies.  Peyton is the secretary of National Honors Society and is ranked in the top 10 of his class.  Matthew Toplak has received a number of academic honors including the 2015 Beaver County Bar Association Scholar award.  He will be attending the University of Florida for Industrial Engineering before pursuing a degree in corporate law.  In addition to his many activities, Matthew is also an Eagle Scout.  Matt Corraini will continue playing baseball at Bethany College where he has been awarded The Bethany Merit Scholarship and Kalon Scholar Award.  Matt will be majoring in both Communication with an emphasis on Graphic Design and Marketing.  In 2013 Matt won first place in Logo Design at the TSA state competition.   Additionally, Chris Brooks #34 and Trevor Rapchack #25 are first year players and help the team out in the outfield.  Chris is attending Penn State Beaver for Criminal Justice to enroll in the State Police, and Trevor is an Eagle Scout with plans on becoming a heavy equipment operator.  The ceremony began with acknowledgement of the two seniors from the Deer Lakes Lancers; Chris Tivo #7, outfielder and short stop Scott Venura #23.

Ms. Janice Zupsic, Principal at the Ambridge Area High school announced the seniors for the Ambridge Bridgers.  Mr. John Tucci was on hand to sing the National Anthem before beginning the game.  Mr. Artie Amon, Mr. Ambridge 2015, provided the play-by-play analysis of the Bridger victory.  Finally, 2014 WPIAL All-star Bridger Alum, Grant Smith, graciously attended and participated by throwing out the traditional “first pitch”.  The Ambridge Baseball Boosters provided a feast with beverages and desserts galore for all in attendance.   Parents, families, friends, and classmates all came out to support the Ambridge Bridger seniors in one of their final baseball games as an Ambridge Bridger.  The Bridgers defeated the Lancers by a score of 7-6.  Way to go Bridgers!
