David Strano, Do It Best operations director, headed up the revitalization project between Benjamin Moore and Old Economy.
For every can of Selected Benjamin Moore paint that sold, $1 was donated to Old Economy Village, the historic home of the Harmony Society, a 19th century Christian communal group that settled here.
Strano said Old Economy was chosen as a recipient following a meeting with management to decide who in Ambridge would benefit from the Benjamin Moore campaign.
Between paint sales and a donation from Ambrige Do it Best, $1,000 was donated to Old Economy. The check was delivered on Jan. 27.
Strano said the money will be used to purchase paint as Old Economy chooses revitalization projects.
Old Economy plans to use the paint to freshen up the village this spring and summer.
