Ambridge Patrolman John Bialik responded to a call that several juveniles were posting on a social media app that they were inside the high school on Duss Avenue.
Kevin Freeman, 20, and Isaiah Harvey, 18, were taken to Beaver County Jail and the other four suspects were taken to juvenile placement. All six will be charged with burglary and criminal trespass, police said.
Officer Bialik said additional units responded along with him to the call because of the number of doors to at the high school. While checking each entrance point, they found a rear door propped open with a piece of plastic, he said.
According to Bialik, the 11 people broke in to play basketball, eat snacks from the cafe, and smoke marijuana. He said the suspects may have been in the school for two hours. No damage has been noted as of yet, but the investigation is still open.
Bialik added that five of the six in custody were not from Ambridge.
