“We honor any one of our past youth baseball or softball members,” shared Morelli. “They would have to have started and finished within our organization.”
“We were the Ambridge Youth Association and merged with Economy Youth Association that became ABE baseball and that is when we created this scholarship to keep the name (Ambridge Youth Association) going on. There is a lot of history,” added Morell.
Bridger Baseball President Shawn Gerace shared that ABE Baseball is now called Bridger Baseball.
“We felt that ABE has served its purpose for the past four years. We proved that the surrounding communities can successfully merge to provide recreational baseball to the entire Ambridge Area School District."
Morrow and Thomas both received $250 in scholarship money to help further their education.
