 Do you want a glam look for prom, while keeping it frugal?
Then, you don't want to miss a free prom dress giveaway from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 31 at New Hope Community Church in Ambridge.  The Easter Bunny started off visits to area communities with a stop in Economy over the weekend.
About 80 families attended the annual Saturday morning breakfast with the Easter Bunny, organized by the Economy Borough Recreation Committee.  Ambridge Area High School's track season started with a meet Friday against Moon Area. Both Ambridge 4 x 400m relay teams took first place.

Work will resume on the Ambridge-Aliquippa Bridge starting at 7 a.m. Monday, March 31, as crews work to finish the painting portion of the $16.6 million rehabilitation project. Motorists should expect single-lane, alternating traffic from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays on the bridge, according to PennDOT. Economy Borough is continuing its search for a new secretary despite receiving several applications. Pat Skonieczny said the borough received about 15 resumes to fill the vacant position, but none of the applicants stood out.  2013 First place: Ciera Hill of Lincoln Park Ambridge Area High School students are invited to submit their artwork for consideration in the 2014 Congressional Art Competition.
The winning works of art will be chosen by a panel of local judges and through online voting. |
