Contractors working for PENNDOT will be closing Route 65, north-bound, at the intersection of 8th Street (PA Rt. 989) on Friday morning (11/3/17) at 7AM through early morning on Monday, November 6th, to make repairs to the waterline support structure on the Ambridge-Aliquippa Bridge.
The posted detour will be the same as the one that was in effect earlier this year for northbound traffic only. It will be from 8th Street following Duss Avenue to Logan Lane in Harmony Township to get back on Route 65-north.
There will be no restrictions on southbound traffic on Route 65.

Ambridge High School’s Interact Club hosted its annual Trick or Treat event, held on Monday, Oct. 31 at the high school.
Nearly 200 costumed children in grades six and under attended the event and were greeted by Interact Club students and High School adult volunteers in full costume.

Children enjoyed a variety of games, and enjoyed popcorn courtesy of Ambridge Federal Credit Union. Face painting and photo opportunities with inflatable figures were included in the fun. Treats and prizes for the event were donated by the students, staff, teachers, administrators and Ambridge Rotary Club.

The Interact Club hosts numerous community service events throughout the year.


Trick or Treat:

Ambridge, Baden, Economy, Harmony Township , and South Height will all participate in trick or treating Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 pm 

New Hope  Community Church  , Trunk or treat  on Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 pm  located in the parking lot at  592 Beaver Road, Ambridge

Beaver County Times: District Judge Andrew Hladio  Facing More Charges

Ambridge District Judge Andrew Hladio was charged Tuesday with retaliation against witnesses; violating standards of decorum, demeanor and communication; failing to promote public confidence in the judiciary and to avoid the appearance of impropriety; engaging in bias, prejudice and harassment; violating standards of conduct for district judges; and bringing the judicial office into disrepute.
Heidi Eakin, a Cumberland County attorney who was identified in court papers as representing Hladio, did not return a message seeking comment.
