According to Ambridge Connection's sources the AAEA gave notice that if issues are not resolved at the December 12th meeting the 189 teachers in the union will go on strike on December 13th. ------ Ambridge School Board and Ambridge Area Education Association representatives met on Monday night for a negotiation meeting. Teachers gathered outside highschool with signs in support of AAEA Union Reps during the negotiation meeting with the school board. Ambridge Teachers have been working without a contract since January 2015. The last Farmers Market for the 2016 season will be on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 3:30 pm . This is a special day due to the holiday.

Ambridge School District board of directors meeting tonight was held Wednesday night.
Almost a full showing of Ambridge teachers was in the audience with signs of various sizes that read:
"All the Association wants is a fair contract," said Lauren Mawhinney the Ambridge Area Education Association President. " The last thing our teachers want is to go on strike, but make no mistake we will do what we need to do in order to secure a new contract." Mawhinney continued to direct comments to the board and added "I encourage you to come to the table and negotiate a settlement with the association that benefits the association, the district, and our students that are most important to us."
