2017 World Tang Soo Do Association - Region 22 Champions Photo submitted.
The student and instructors of River Valley Tang Soo Do Academy in Ambridge participated in the 2017 World Tang Soo Do Association - Region 22 Championship on Saturday April 22nd at Community College of Beaver County. A total of 214 competitors representing 19 karate schools from PA, OH, VA and CT joined together for a great day of friendly competition. Grand Master William Strong, President WTSDA, presided over the event with the assistance of Master Scott Merrill, Region 22 Director.
Participants competed in open handed forms, weapons forms and sparring competitions. Additionally the River Valley Drill Team competed in the Creativity Competition taking 2nd Place.
Numerous River Valley students also assisted in setup, concessions, score keeping, time keeping, judging and championship administration.
