A.B.E. Baseball will host their annual tournament this weekend, inviting 10 communities to the Economy and Ambridge baseball fields.
League President Jeff Mellor invites all down this weekend for great baseball, a full concession stand, and hopefully great weather.
Mellor said they will be using the new dugout benches that were recently installed at Walter Panek Park. All players and parents participated in a season-long fundraiser to purchase the new benches.
Shawn Gerace, manager and coach pitch league commissioner, said the Economy ball fields will have a full house, with almost all levels playing at the fields. The only groups playing at Walter Panek will be U10c and U14 Teams. All games will take place on July 12 and 13 with the championship held on July 14. Trophies will be given to the champions.
Games start at 9 a.m. and are expected to run all day with the last regular games starting at 6 p.m.
Here are the communities that will be traveling in to participate:
Hopewell
Blackhawk
Avonworth
Brighton Township
Kennedy Township
Mount Lebanon
Scott Township

Quaker Valley
