Amazon is inviting cities or regional economic development organizations in North America to submit a proposal to host Amazon’s second headquarters in North America.
"We are looking for a location with strong local and regional talent—particularly in software development and related fields—as well as a stable and business-friendly environment to continue hiring and innovating on behalf of our customers" from Amazon.com.

Beaver County Commission Sandie Egley posted "We are in contact with the Governor's office, Dept. Of Economic Development and the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance providing facts why BC should be home to the site."
"We expect to invest over $5 billion in construction and grow this second headquarters to include as many as 50,000 high-paying jobs – it will be a full equal to our current campus in Seattle. In addition to Amazon’s direct hiring and investment, construction and ongoing operation of Amazon HQ2 is expected to create tens of thousands of additional jobs and tens of billions of dollars in additional investment in the surrounding community" the com
The Amazon Seattle Headquarters has 33 buildings, takes up 8.1 million square feet which include 24 restaurants/ cafe and employees over 40,000 people.
The request for proposal encourages states, province, and other metro areas to coordinate with relevant jurisdictions to submit one (1) RFP and can contain multiple real estate sites.
Deadline date is October 19 and will be announced in 2018.
