Beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17 the bridge will close around the clock through 5 a.m. Monday morning, Oct. 20.

Crews will be conducting bridge deck repairs, weather permitting, PennDOT officials said. Detour signs will be posted to guide motorists to use the Sewickley Bridge.
On an average day, about 12,588 vehicles use the bridge, which crosses the Ohio River between Route 65 and Route 51.
The closing is part of a $16.6 million project to rehabilitate the ten-span structure. The prime contractor for the project is the Trumbull Corp. of Pittsburgh.
