This time the filming is for a Netflix Original Series.
Temporary road closures and no parking restrictions were requested on Merchant Street, 10th Street and Maplewood Avenue from April 6 to May 24 for the filming of the Netflix Original Series “Mindhunter.”
In addition to Ambridge, Mindhunter will be filmed in Pittsburgh from May through December, according to WTAE-TV. The series is based on the 1996 book "Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit."
An open casting call for extras will be held Saturday, April 16, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Blackbird Studios, 3583 Butler St., Lawrenceville. For more information, visit mossercasting.com.
Nancy Mosser Casting told WTAE they are especially looking for people ages 18 and over to portray police officers, EMTs, firefighters, SWAT, military, FBI agents and recruits. Experience with any of the above fields is preferred but not necessary.
Submissions are also being accepted for vehicles from 1962 to 1982 to appear in "Mindhunter." Owners will be compensated for their time and must be willing to be in scenes with their cars.
Producers are mostly looking for "everyday" vehicles like sedans, pickup trucks and station wagons. A typical day of shooting is 12-14 hours, rain or shine.
Anyone who is interested should email their picture, as well as a photo of their car, to [email protected]. Include your name, age, phone number, height and weight, along with the make, model, year and color of the car.
Producers also want to know if a vehicle is in its original condition and if the owner would be interested in selling it to the show.
