Councilman Michael Mikulich presented agency founders Jack and Patty Dunn with a proclamation declaring May 12 as John Dunn Agency Day in Ambridge.
According to the proclamation:
John S. Dunn Agency was founded in 1962 by Jack and Patty Dunn, basing their operations in the heart of Ambridge at 619 Merchant Street, where they continue to offer a variety of insurance company programs and products.
From their Merchant Street office, the John S. Dunn Agency and Dunn family: Jack, Patty, Carolyn, and Michael, have been able to protect the assets of their insured including many fellow Ambridge neighbors and citizens, provide various life insurance policies, and also enable many other Ambridge businesses to get the needed insurance protection for over 53 years.
Now in the second generation of family owned operation, Jack’s daughter, Carolyn Reis, now carries forward in her father’s footsteps in providing these exceptional insurance services with helpful one-on-one service.
The Dunn family has always stepped up to the greater calling of public service in Ambridge as Jack has served a long tenure as the Borough’s Tax Collector and as a Councilman, Patty as Tax Collector and Carolyn has served on the Ambridge Area School Board.
The John S. Dunn Agency has been a stellar example of a corporate-citizen within Ambridge Borough.
