On March 27 the Ambridge Area Education Association released the contract Arbitration process time schedule.

April 12 arbitration hearing
Within next 20 days arbitrator chooses one of three proposals: District, Association or 2016 Fact-Finding decision. The last day for his decision is May 2.
Once the decision is made, both sides have 10 days to accept or reject the decision.
If both sides vote yes, the terms of a new contract have been reached.
If either side votes no, the strike resumes the next day. PA Dept of Ed will determine length of the possible strike if it resumes. If this occurs, court mandated bargaining sessions may occur.
