What an amazing day!!! Our participants served THOUSANDS of wings today!! In fact, I believe this was the most wings of all the three years that we held this event.
Congratulations to our event winners - in the amateur division, Chas Mooney's wing was named the best hot wing in the category while Andrew Scott's flavored wing, called Andrews Trainwreck was not only the judges favorite wing, but the People's Choice Award went to Andrew in the amateur category. Tommy's Catering swept the Caterer's division for both the best hot wing and flavored wing! But, the people spoke and they voted Grama's Kitchen the People's Choice! The Hangar, a newcomer to the Ambridge Wing Cook Off took the prize for the best flavored wing, selected by the judges! Another newcomer to the event,Bridgetown Taphouse walked away with the award for the best hot wing. In fact, their hot wing was the overall highest rated wing by the judges!! The Firehouse Lounge was the crowd favorite this year, they can boast that they were the People's Choice at 2016 Ambridge Wing Cook Off - just like they did in 2014!
Congratulations to all of today's winners and thanks to EVERYONE - competitors, judges, the bands - Fine Line, County Crew & Dram Machine - the volunteers, and YOU, the community, who came out to support this fundraiser for diabetes! Thank you all!
