It was 50 years ago when the rock group known as the Beatles invaded America and performed on the Ed Sullivan Show.
As part of "An American Celebration," Old Economy Village will be presenting Beatlemania Magic, a tribute band that will bring the Beatles music to life in a beautiful garden setting.
Beatlemania Magic will perform from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 12.
Combining the summer concert and the Antique Car Show, Old Economy Village has created an entirely new event: An American Celebration.
On Saturday, July 12 starting at 10 a.m., the event will offer something for everyone -- pre-1950 antique cars, a magic show, storytelling, strolling musicians, musical entertainment throughout the day in the garden, an old-fashioned spelling bee with a cash prize, and artisans demonstrating crafts, trades, and 19th century daily life.
A variety of food, funnel cakes, and ice cream also will be available at this old-fashioned town celebration.
Regular admission to Old Economy Village covers the entire day. Admission rates are $10 for adults, $9 seniors, $6 children (ages 3 to 11), and free for Friends of Old Economy Village members, children 2 and under, and active military. Located at 270 16th St., Ambridge.
