The Beaver County over 25 year old traditional snow shovel riding contest will continue this year at Old Economy Park.
advertisement The annual Snow Shovel Riding Championship set to be held Saturday at Old Economy Park has been rescheduled for Saturday, Jan. 17.
The Beaver County Recreation and Tourism Department, which hosts the contest, posted the announcement. " Keep those shovels ready! Please check back with us next Thursday to see if it's a go for next week."
The free event on Saturday, Jan. 17 is open to people ages 5 and older. Practice runs are from 9 to 11 a.m. and registration is from 11 a.m. to noon.
Racing begins at 12:30 p.m. and will end at 3 p.m. According to the recreation and tourism department if condition are unfavorable they will reschedule.
