On Wednesday, August 12, 2015, Stanley Zubik, an Ambridge native, passed away due to complications with congestive heart failure. He was 88.
Zubik was the husband of the late Susan Raskosky Zubik; father of Pittsburgh Catholic Bishop David A. Zubik; brother of Irene Grazulis and the late Frances Zubik, Cecile Tabinowski and Gertrude Orler; brother-in-law of Anne E. Raskosky; and also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was residing at Little Sisters of the Poor Home in Pittsburgh.
The family received visitors Sunday at The Little Sisters of the Poor Home on the North Side and a Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, St. Paul Cathedral. Burial was at Holy Savior Cemetery in Richland Township in the Chapel of Christ Our Savior.
In lieu of flowers, Bishop Zubik requests remembrances be made to The Little Sisters of the Poor.
