Van Jones, host of The Van Jones Show and a CNN political commentator, visited Ambridge at Fred's Divot on Monday to talk with a panel of Beaver County residents about the current state of politics in America and Western Pennsylvania.

Van Jones, host of The Van Jones Show and a CNN political commentator, visited Ambridge at Fred's Divot on Monday to talk with a panel of Beaver County residents about the current state of politics in America and Western Pennsylvania.
CNN producers sought out a panel of people from different political viewpoints to have a conversation with Van Jones and David Urban. Urban is an Ambridge native and a Republican commentator on CNN.
Two Harmony Township women were selected to be on the show. Paulette L Battisti, United Steelworkers Women of Steel coordinator for District 10, and Larissa Dudkiewicz, an Ambridge Connection freelance reporter and communications specialist at LLS.
"We want to understand how people feel about the Trump Presidency, Washington in general and if politics is helping or hurting Western PA, shared a CNN Producer. "We hope to have a thoughtful and open conversation where everyone will be able to talk openly."
Dudkiewicz said "It was nice to sit down and have an open and honest discussion with other locals in my hometown on a range of topics we all felt passionate about.
"Though we didn't agree on much, I think having these conversations is important in order to bridge divisions and gain a better understanding " added Dudkiewicz.
The Van Jones Show airs on CNN Saturday at 7 pm.
