Ambridge Connection held its first community-wide Holiday House Decoration contest. Residential homes were able to enter the contest as long as the home fell under the Ambridge Area School District coverage area.

Judges for the 2014 contest were State Rep. Rob Matzie, David Strano, operations manager for Ambridge Do It Best, Felicia Mycyk of Ambridge Connection, and Harmony Commissioner Michael Marticek.
Each category was judged using a point system based on theme and design, creativity, effort and participation, and overall efficiency.
"Thank you to all of the residents who participated and judges who took time out to help score the competition," Mycyk said. "While judging the event, we saw so many homes that were decorated so fun that we wished they were all in the contest."
Thank you to Ambridge Do It Best, Beaver Valley Foot Clinic, Recycled Dreams at the Silk House Cafe, and Lickety Split Ice Cream and Coffee Cafe for donating prizes. Thank you to State Representative Rob Matzie, Ambridge Regional, and contestants for help with printing costs.
