About 1,300 Duquesne Light Co. customers are without power in the Harmony and Baden area, according to company officials.
Brian Knavish, Duquesne Light spokesman, said the outage was caused by a downed wire on Anthony Wayne Road at Duss Avenue.
A crew has been dispatched to the area and is currently working to restore power.
Knavish estimates power should be back on by 2 p.m., unless there are additional problems.
With storms in the area, Duquesne Light suggests the public keep an eye out for downed wires, and never touch, approach or drive over them.
