Six cars were damaged in Ambridge Wednesday after one driver lost control of her car in the business district, police said.
The driver, who was not named, told officers she had a medical emergency that triggered the chain-reaction crash around 4 p.m., police said.
Her vehicle struck a pickup on Seventh Street, before turning onto Merchant Street and into an SUV and striking other parked cars near the corner in the 600 block.
Witnesses said the woman attempted to drive away after the crash. Police said a Comcast truck blocked her car to prevent her from leaving.
The driver was given a field sobriety test then taken to Heritage Valley Sewickley hospital for a blood-alcohol test. Charges are pending.
