Everything will be coming up daffodils this Spring, thanks to a STEAM initiative project with students from State Street Elementary School.
The initiative was developed by State Street Elementary School STEAM coach Caitlin Bajgier. As part of the effort, each student at State Street planted a daffodil bulb on the hillside at Baden Memorial Park. The daffodil bulbs were donated by State Rep. Robert F. Matzie, D-16th.
The Ambridge Area High School Ecology Club, Early Act Club, Interact Club, Ecology Club and Honors Biology students, in conjunction with Baden Borough officials, provided our elementary students with assistance in preparing the hill and planting the daffodil bulbs.
“State Street students, with the rest of the Baden community, will be able to enjoy the fruits of their labor this coming Spring when our daffodils bloom,” said Thomas McKelvey, Principal.
“We look forward to continuing our work on ‘Daffodil Hill’ in the Baden Memorial Park during the coming years.”
