This week is Fire Prevention Week and the theme this year is to install smoke alarms in every bedroom, outside each separate sleeping area, and on every level of your home, including the basement. Larger homes may need more alarms.
Economy Fire Department will hold an open house from 4 p.m to 7 p.m.
Visitors will be able to eat light refreshments and tour the station along with the Beaver County Fire Safety Trailer.
At 6 pm. there will be a blessing of the new truck.

Ambridge Fire Department and Harmony Township Volunteer Fire Department will hold an joint assembly on Thursday at Highland Elementary.
Perfect 10 Gymnastics teamed up with Baden Volunteer Fire Departement to hold a free fire safety workshop for children. The day will include tips on safety and planning, as well as practice jumping to a fireman in a safe environment.
