Former Pittsburgh Steeler Chris Hoke visited the Ambridge Area Junior High School on Tuesday to celebrate the school's participation in the "Play 60 Challenge" this spring.
More than 400 students logged 414,486 minutes of physical activity during a six-week period, with the goal of encouraging physically active lifestyles year-round.
Nancy Bancroft of the American Heart Association presented the school with a $1,000 check, earmarked for new gym equipment. Following Hoke's question and answer session, Principal Shaun Cooke challenged several of the students to a push-up contest.
