Ambridge Lil Bridgers football, Mighty Mites, was one of six Beaver County teams featured on the ‘Friday Night Tykes' spinoff 'Friday Night Tykes Steel Country' series in May of 2016.
In July of 2016, the spinoff was renewed by Esquire for a season two. Six Beaver County teams were chosen to be featured which included Ambridge lil Bridgers , Midgets .

The show was set to air Jan. 17, 2017, but was canceled. Esquire Network liner cable according to Variety was closed by NBCUniversal and will relaunch the brand as a digital-only platform.
According to our source, NBCUniversal is contemplating finding another network to air 'Steel Country' on. Currently, season four of 'Friday Night Tykes' is airing on USA.
Stated by Money CNN, increasingly, though, services like Netflix have taken their toll. Instead of viewers being expected to gravitate by default to certain channels, they could find specific shows that appealed to them without needing something like the name "Esquire" to guide them there.
