Family and friends will host a spaghetti dinner from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Ambridge Legion.
The dinner is to help raise fund for a portable lift and adaptive swim equipment for Lexi Hartley who has cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair.
A Go Fund Me page was created for 18-year-old Lexi that says she needs the equipment to continue her therapy during the summer in a pool. The family can no longer lift her to put her into the pool.
"We are trying to raise money to buy a lift for the pool as well as one for the bathroom," said Lexi's grandmother, Terri Armsey, an Ambridge graduate.
"She loves the water and it is one thing she can do without much help once we get her into the pool."
Cost is $8.50 for adults and $4 for children. Carry-outs will be available. The event will include a bake sale, silent auction, and 50/50 raffle.
All spaghetti dinners will include meatballs, salad, bread and dessert.
