Former Laughlin Memorial Library director Emilee Waldo resigned in May from her position in Ambridge after about seven months.
The Ambridge board of directors is currently taking applications to fill the head role as the library gears up to mark its 85th anniversary next month.

Food Service Department is searching for candidates to join the team. Hours range between 2 ½ and 4 hours per day. Also, substitute positions are available in all buildings. Starting rate is $7.25 per hour for substitutes. Increase in rate for permanent status.

At Waste Management, the Residential driver position is one of the most physically demanding jobs. Drivers are responsible for the collection and hand loading of residential waste, as well as the transporting of this waste by a front-load or rear-load truck to a landfill site. The position routinely requires extensive near-continuous physical exertions such as repetitive lifting, pushing, and pulling receptacles that weigh from 50 to 75 pounds as part of their rigorous daily routine.
3. Sales Support - Fastenal - Baden
Part-Time Sales Support employee needed for entry level position to provide assistance to customers at the store located at 3 State St, Baden.
Duties and responsibilities of this position are service-based and will present new and diverse challenges daily. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assisting with sales/customer service; managing inventory; placing and fulfilling orders; receiving and shipping inventory; performing deliveries with company vehicle.
4. Summer Help - Ambridge Water Authority
Ambridge Water Authority is looking for 2 people to mow grass, paint, and perform other such light maintenance duties. Generally 3-4 days per week, all summer long. The pay is $9 per hour. Must be 18 years old, have a valid PA driver’s license, and pass a drug/alcohol test prior to employment. Will furnish all equipment and safety items as well as a truck.
