Kelly Haslett was the student camp director and conducted the camp for her senior project.
The camp ran from 9 a.m. to noon with 34 girls in attendance from kindergarten to eighth grade. The goal of the camp was to focus on fundamentals by giving each girl individual attention.
Sophomore Audrey McNair said, " it was fun working with the kids and teaching them how to be better basketball players."
McNair added that she felt like a leader.
"It is nice seeing girls interested in basketball at a young age," she said. "It felt good to see everyone improve over the week with ball handling, shooting, and decision making."
Antolic added that she is also working the free summer league for current fourth and fifth graders.
Coach Nikki Santiago is looking to build the basketball program. If you are interested in participating in the summer league contact Santiago.
