The Ambridge Youth Association Scholarship was founded in 2013 by John Morelli, Mike Galvin and David Nichi to recognize two of Ambridge High School baseball’s seniors who have been in the program from elementary to high school.
To be eligible for the scholarship the high school senior had to have played in the Ambridge Youth Association in little league and pony league, play either varsity baseball or softball thier senior year, and continuing their education after high school.
According to board member John Morelli, Campalong played in the AYA for 9 years and will continue his education and play basketball at W&J. Morelli played for 11 years and will attend Westminster College in the fall where he will play baseball with for the college as a Titan.
Both received a scholarship of $500 .
