The Ambridge Rotary Club recently sponsored a district-wide third-grade spelling bee.

The top two winners of the spelling bee are from Highland Elementary. Photo by Felicia Mycyk Each third-grade classroom in the three elementary schools held a spelling competition then sent their top two spellers to the district-wide spelling bee held at Highland Elementary.
To prepare for the competition, the Ambridge Rotary donated personal dictionaries to each student in third grade.
A total of 16 students advanced to the district-wide spelling bee and all spellers who participated received a medal.
The top three spellers received trophies along with medals.

First place: Angel Hendricks, Highland Elementary
Second place: Amariona Williams. Highland Elementary
Third place: Ronald Noullet, Economy Elementary
