The Ambridge Lil' Bridger youth football organization shared that one of their volunteer coaches, James Savage, died unexpectedly Monday morning.

Savage, 38, was father to children Noah James Savage, age 9, and James Paul Savage Jr., age 5, along with fiancee Rebecca Newman, all from Ambridge.
One volunteer from Ambridge Lil' Bridgers set up a crowdfunding website to help raise funds for the family.
League President Kenny Carlisle shared, "It's deeper than him being part of the coaching staff, he was a childhood friend."
"I just had dinner with his family, it's too soon. It's unbelievable. Bottom line with him, it was about the kids and wanting to see everyone play."

Friends will be received Friday, Oct. 23, in the Copeland Funeral Home, 702 Beaver Street, Sewickley, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
