"Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and children as they mourn," a message posted on the Facebook page said Monday morning.
One volunteer from Ambridge Lil' Bridgers set up a crowdfunding website to help raise funds for the family.
League President Kenny Carlisle shared, "It's deeper than him being part of the coaching staff, he was a childhood friend."
"I just had dinner with his family, it's too soon. It's unbelievable. Bottom line with him, it was about the kids and wanting to see everyone play."
Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the same location.
