Kim Villela, President of the ARCC, shared “I want to thank all the Churches for their determination and hard work to make this event possible.”
“I am very proud of what we accomplished by working together for the common good of our community in providing a day that will be remembered by all!”
An essay contest was included as part of the festival which awarded one male and female a $100 scholarship. The prize winners were Dimitios Niaros of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and Amelia Freed of SS. Peter and Paul. “It was one of the hardest things I have ever done” shared Patricia Garrity Parra. “The students wrote such magnificent essays on the topic ‘What my church means to me.'”
“The morals, values, and traditions expressed are a tribute to the young men and women and the parents, teachers, and faith communities for Ambridge.” added Parra.
