The Beaver County District Attorney’s office is looking into the financial records of the Baden Tax Collector’s office.
advertisement County detectives told Ambridge Connection they are still reviewing records and officials couldn’t say how long the investigation would take.
Sources say the investigation focuses on Keith Kristek, husband of elected tax collector Cynthia Kristek.
The tax collector office is linked to reports of a large amount of money missing from Baden and the Ambridge Area School District.
Kristek recently told KDKA, “My wife has not been in office for 10 years. Any discrepancies are totally my responsibility.”
