"Walkabout, Rideabout Thursdays" is a collaborative effort by the Ambridge Historic District, Ambridge Chamber of Commerce and Committee to Clean and Beautify Ambridge that encourages residents and visitors to walk and bike in town.
The program runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays through September, piggybacking on the Ambridge Farmers Market, which also operates on Thursdays from 4 to 7 p.m.
Businesses supporting the initiative have a wind pinwheels on display. Walking logs are available at the Ambridge Chamber of Commerce, Mikush Appliance, Alexander’s, Akulina’s Antiques, The Moonbeam Jar and Good Intent Trading.
Bikes and cycling gear can be purchased at the Ambridge Bike and Sports Center, 518 Merchant St.
