beavercountypa.gov Three locals will be recognized on Friday for their service to Beaver County law enforcement.
Jack Lively, retired Harmony Township police chief and Kevin Joy, retired director of emergency services, will receive the Beaver Valley Chiefs of Police Association Award for Distinguished Service. The service award is for members who retired last year.
Lively retired after 42 years in police work, 32 of those years as police chief. Joy retired after 31 years of service to Beaver County.
Baden police Sgt. Dave Alvarez will receive the Beaver County Women Center Award.

The annual awards are given during recognition ceremonies on the date of the police memorial. The presentations take place at the Beaver County Courthouse prior to the Memorial Service for fallen police officers on the courthouse front lawn.

The Peter Caltury Award (Lifetime Achievement named after the father of Janet Walsh the victim in the Scott Hopkins Case who never gave up his faith in justice)

The Detective Howard Murray Award (Named after County Detective who died in line of duty)
Com. vs. Scott Hopkins (Murder Case over 30 years old)
Tpr. Rocco DiMaiolo, Tpr. Richard Matas Cpl Robert Lalama of Pennsylvania State Police and posthumously to Tpr Francis Keenan and Detective Bernard Cashdollar.
Com vs. Damontae Williams ( robbery case where officer wounded by gunfire from the defendant)
CPL. Joesph Olayer, CPL. Daniel Mosura both of the Pennsylvania State Police, Officer Alan Shaffer and Officer Rachel Dietz of Monaca P.D.
Com. vs Lang ( case that was 24 years unsolved)
Chief Richard Cindrich and Chief( Retired) William Livingston both of Patterson Twp. P.D.
Com vs Summer (case involving teacher dealing drugs)
