The new Walmart Supercenter in Economy will begin accepting applications at the Baden American Legion, located at 271 State St. on Monday, Feb. 24.
"I believe this is just the beginning, 300 plus jobs is great progress," Economy Mayor David Poling said.

"However, with so many families struggling due to unemployment, myself and the majority of council are working hard on future developments," he said.
Poling said Walmart is on schedule to complete the construction of its new supercenter behind the Northern Lights Shopping Center.
