
Here's a list of scheduled events:
The Ambridge Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 165 and American Legion Post 341 will have a service starting at 11 a.m. Monday in P.J. Caul Park. A wreath tossing ceremony on the Ambridge Bridge is also planned.
Baden
The annual Baden Memorial Day parade begins at 10:15 a.m. Monday at the Byersdale Field. The parade will proceed down State Street, stop at the Baden American Legion Post 641 for a gun salute before ending at the Baden Memorial Library, where a memorial service will take place.
Economy
Economy will have a memorial service at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the veteran's memorial in the municipal complex. Master Sgt. Thomas Short of Ambridge JROTC is the speaker.
Old Economy Village
Memorial Day visitors will receive a special admission discount, with one free admission for every paid admission. Free admission is of equal or lesser value to the paid admission.
Regular historic tours will be provided on the hour. Admission is $10 adults, $9 seniors, $6 children (ages 3-11), and free for children 2 and under, members, and active military.
Old Economy Park Pool
Pool season is upon us. Weather permitting, the Old Economy Park pool will open on Saturday, May 24 from noon to 7 p.m.
Daily admission is $5 for ages 6 to 54 and $4 for ages 55 and over. Children 5 and under are free, but must be accompanied by a paying adult. Season passes are also available starting at $55.
Beaver County
The public is invited to attend the dedication and ribbon cutting of the Beaver County Veterans Bridge and Veterans Memorial Monument. The event begins at 1 p.m. Monday.
Parking is available in the lots off Route 51 on Riverside Drive and off Route 65 at Yesko Electric, the Beaver County YMCA and Vollmers Auto.
Shuttles, including handicapped, are available from 11:30 a.m to 3:30 p.m. from the Bradys Run Ice Rink parking lot. Lawn chairs are recommended and welcome.
