On Monday, May 1st, as part of the National Main Street Conference that was held in Pittsburgh, April 30th through May 3rd, a group of Main Street Manager's from all over the nation had an opportunity to visit Old Economy Village and Ambridge Borough.  As part of their tour of the Ohio Valley the group of about 40 National Managers had stops in Bellevue, Sewickley and in Ambridge.  In Ambridge, Michael Knecht, Site Administrator of Old Economy Village gave a guided tour of the site and during lunch, Ambridge Borough Manager Joe Kauer gave a presentation on the history of the community, the rise-fall-rise again of Ambridge and the recent success of our Downtown Development Committee.
