Owner James Odell said he chose Ambridge because the area seems to be coming back.
Odell said he chose his location due to the potential in the industrial area.
His traditional slow-smoked barbecue is cooked daily. ODBQ will open Monday through Saturday at 10:30am and Odell says it’s best to get there early because his doors are open until the meat is gone.
Odell, an Air Force veteran who lived in various states, recently relocated from Moon Township to the Ambridge area. He shared that he will be cooking overnight, as one of the reasons for moving here, and he said it is affordable.
His daily menu consists of smoked pulled pork, smoked turkey, and certified fresh never frozen Angus brisket. He serves a variety of sides including baked beans, coleslaw, spicy sweet potato, carrots, baked potato, pasta salad, mac ‘n cheese, onions and peppers, and cornbread.
