Harmony has hired its first township manager.
Janet Miklos of Chippewa will begin as the new manager on June 30.
“I’m very excited to get started,” said Miklos, who previously worked in sales and marketing at Shaner Industries in Ambridge.

Miklos attended the recent commissioners meeting, where she was formally introduced to the public by interim manager Virginia Finnegan.
Miklos said she has been meeting with Finnegan, working to get up to speed so that she can hit the ground running on her first day.
Finnegan will remain in the office for about a month to work with Miklos after she starts.
“I would like to thank you all for the year that I’ve been here,” Finnegan told the commissioners. “…It’s been a pleasure to be here. I have enjoyed my time. I hope I’ve left it better than when I came.”
Miklos said she has been meeting with Finnegan, working to get up to speed so that she can hit the ground running on her first day.

New Secretary for Economy Borough
Margie Nelko was hired on April 23 to fill the vacant secretary position in Economy.
Nelko, an Economy resident, is enjoying her time and feeling acclimated, as if she's been with the borough longer than just two months,
Nelko previously worked for 15 years as secretary in Edgeworth borough.
