Council recently approved the purchase of an “Expression Swing” that seats both parent and child on the same swing facing each other.
Councilwoman Tina Iorfido-Miller, recreation chairwoman, who organized the festivals, said October's event raised $2,529.83 in profit after all expenses were paid.
"So this money goes toward the purchase of the swing and also the money we made last year from the fall festival, which is around $2,000," she said.
Festival proceeds will also also cover installation.
Councilwoman Janet Caldarelli commended Iorfido-Miller for raising the funds.
"These two fall festivals wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for the dedication and hard work of Mrs. Miller," Caldarelli said.
