On Tuesday May 31st segments of the sanitary sewer line along Park Rd, which were installed year ago, will be tied in to the new pump station and begin serving the residents of Ambridge Borough.
Beginning next week
- the intersection of Park Rd and 4th St will be closed overnight to all traffic.
- Access from SR 65 will extend up 4th St only as far as the driveway to Ambridge Do It Best. From Merchant St, travel along 4th St will be limited only as far west as the alley behind your property.
- Southbound traffic along Park Rd will not be able to enter 4th St and at 5th St will be limited to local traffic only.
While there will be no construction activity on Park Rd in front of your home, you are encouraged to park your vehicles in the alley behind your home or in the Do It Best lot. In this way you will have easy access to leave and return to the area without interference from the construction activity.
The work scheduled to begin on May 31st is planned for completion by Friday June 3rd with some roadway restoration planned for the following week. As you are most surely aware, weather and other unforeseen circumstances may require that this construction extend into the next week and defer restoration work to a slate as June 13th – 15th. . Hopefully that will not occur.
Emergency vehicles will always have full access to any location on Park Rd and construction will be suspended if necessary in the event of an emergency.
Residents with questions or requiring any special assistance during working hours should contact the Municipal Authority office at 724-266-7810 or the Authority’s Engineering Observer, Harry Deitzer, at 724-263-2282.
Thank You for your patience and understanding as we make these very important permanent improvements to the sanitary system of our fine Borough.
