Looking for something free to do this Sunday?
Then come out to Old Economy Village for a free tour, an ice cream sundae, and the opportunity to hunt Pokémon.
Thanks to a grant from The Jack Buncher Foundation, admission to Old Economy is free on Sundays in 2016 during the Village’s Centennial Year. On Sunday, July 31st, the site will also be giving away free ice cream Sundaes in the Lenz House – limit one per visitor – from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m..
While you’re exploring the site you will have the opportunity to hunt for Pokémon as well. There are several Pokestops and two Gyms at Old Economy, thanks to the Pokémon programmers. We will be dropping lures around the Village so you will want to tour the entire site to capture as many Pokémon as you can. Then to help you beat the heat we will be serving free ice cream sundaes in the air conditioned Lenz House.
So come on out on Sunday, July 31st from Noon until 5:00 p.m. for a day of free exploration and treats. Ice cream sundaes will be served from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Old Economy Village is a historic site of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. The site preserves and presents the life, thought, and material culture of the Harmony Society, a highly successful and entrepreneurial 19th century religious community. Old Economy was the heart of the Harmony Society’s community of Economy from 1824 until the commune was dissolved in 1905. It is part of Ambridge’s Economy National Historic Landmark, and is among the region’s most important historic sites. Old Economy Village is administered by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission and is actively supported by the Friends of Old Economy Village which is a non-profit community-based organization.

Pokémon Go For a Reason
On Saturday, August 20 a Ambridge resident is asking locals to come together for a community clean up.
