In Harmony Township, police said someone rifled through four vehicles, two in the 800 block of Ridge Road and two on Laurel Alley and Stephens Street, making off with electronics and other items.
“I just want people to be aware to lock your cars,” Essek said.
In Ambridge, police arrested a man on March 18 after he was caught in the act going through someone’s car in the 500 block of Melrose Avenue.
Ambridge police Lt. Brian Jameson said Timothy Davidson, 25, admitted to breaking into other vehicles on Glenwood Drive and Locust Street. He is charged with institutional vandalism, theft from a vehicle and receiving stolen property. All charges have been waived for court.
Over the weekend in Baden, borough police Chief Dave Christner said someone broke a basement glass window pane at a home in the 300 block of Berry Street. A couple of items were tossed around on the basement floor, but the homeowners couldn't find anything missing, he said.
Christner said the suspect left blood on the broken glass and police are investigating.
Ambridge, Economy and Baden police all said they haven’t had any recent vehicle break-ins reported.
