Good Samaritan Parish will carry on its annual tradition of selling pączki—homemade sugared doughnuts—from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fat Tuesday, March 5 while supplies last.
To order, call the paczki hotline at 724-266-6010. Leave a message, including your name, how many dozen you'd like, what time you plan to pick up on Tuesday, and your telephone number.
The cost is $9 a dozen or $4.50 for a half dozen.
Paczki, (pronounced poonch-key) is a Polish tradition that allowed people to indulge before Lent.
The Good Samaritan Choir and Friends organizes the annual Paczki Day sale, a local tradition for 25 years.
