Ambridge Women Set Out to Get Ambridge to Vote
Leah Propst a Political Science graduate from Carlow University shared that she want to make a difference in her community while putting her education to use. "I started to do research into voting statistics in Ambridge, and I discovered something a bit troubling; voter turnout rates in the borough are rather low, especially in municipal elections" said Propst.
"I decided that the best course of action would be to start a get-out-the-vote campaign specifically targeted toward residents of Ambridge."
Prost started a website and facebook page called Ambridge Votes. On the website you can find voter information forms , an event calendar, her research, and other tools and resources.
"I plan on hosting a number of independent voter registration events throughout the summer and fall" added Prost. She encourages all to follow Ambridge Votes on facebook and twitter.
